python-numpy software package provides Numerical Python adds a fast array facility to the Python language, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-numpy
python-numpy is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-numpy package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-numpy *
You will get with python-numpy package name, version, architecture and description in a table
